Does Quality Metal Finishing do decorative chrome plating for cars, motorcycles, boats etc…?

No, our business is focused on the commercial, electronics, irrigation, and aerospace industries.

What kind of turnaround time can I expect?

Our normal turnaround time is three to five days, but for special requests on small orders, we can have the job done in one or two days. With prior approval, large barrel orders (5,000 lbs) and large rack orders can be done in two to three days. Large barrel and large rack orders normally take three to seven days.

Can you plate to certified military specifications and ASTM specifications?

Yes, we use Military specifications as a commercial guideline and in some cases can plate exactly to the letter of the Mil-Specification please call with any questions.

How hard is heat-treated electroless nickel?

60-65 RC.

Do you provide same-day service?

Yes, depending on the size and nature of the request.

What colors do you anodize?

Clear, Black, Blue, Red, Green, Gold, Pink, Purple, custom colors on request.

Do you assume responsibility for customers’ parts?

Yes, with special consideration for tough-to-handle alloys (400 series stainless, zinc die-cast aluminum). Our responsibility presumes an accurately filled-out purchase order, but please call with questions.
